A Curated Morning of International Pairings, Artisan Black Teas & Community Connection in Raleigh-Durham
Hey Jasperians! I'm Matthias, and I'm excited to invite you to Part I of the Jasper & Gold Culture Series — my Pop-Up Teahouse in the Park.
This series is personal to me. My long-term goal is to open a brick-and-mortar teahouse built entirely around conversation and connection, and these events are how I get there. Every gathering helps me learn what that space should look, feel, and taste like — and you're a part of building it.
The Inspiration Behind the Menu
If you love tea, or you're a Southerner, there's a good chance you already have a thing for biscuits. Over the years, I've discovered that English biscuits are more like beautifully crafted, dippable crackers — made for tea. American biscuits? Fluffy, buttery, and perfect for layering with cheese, meat, or whatever your heart desires. That contrast is exactly what inspired this menu.
We're exploring the relationship between English and American biscuit culture alongside Jasper & Gold's signature artisan black tea blends. Since Jasper & Gold specializes exclusively in botanical beverages, I am thrilled to partner with local entrepreneurs for the pairings. Expect locally made biscuits, local cheeses, and local art setting the atmosphere throughout the morning.
Arrival Time: 9:00 am
Tickets are limited — I almost never do the same event twice, so grab your spot while it's available.
